Most LWC offices closed for Memorial Day
Facilities in seven parishes to remain open

The Louisiana Workforce Commission’s Baton Rouge headquarters and most of the agency’s statewide network of Business and Career Solutions Centers will be closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day. The offices will re-open at 8 a.m. Tuesday, May 28.

But the Business and Career Solutions Centers in Ascension, Washington, Tangipahoa, Iberville, Livingston, Pointe Coupee and West Feliciana parishes, which make up Workforce Investment Area 20, will remain open Monday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Those offices’ local government staff will operate them, although their LWC state staff will be off for the holiday.

Those without Internet access can call the LWC’s toll-free line at 866-783-5567 to use self-service features. However, callers will not have the option of speaking with a claims representative on Memorial Day. The Claim Center will re-open at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
